On Our Way
This was supposed to be a great post on Florida birds. Two scrub jays sollicited us for food, so we ran back to the house, got my muesli walnuts and a camera. On our return, the scrub jays had already pegged us as misers and did no come down again from their tree.
Back to the house again. Suddenly, Son yells BOBCAT. No camera ready, bobcat is too fast anyway. So are all the bunnies and even the caterpillar. As a result, you are back in New York Harbor.

Our first cruise on a regular cruise ship, one of the Norvegian line boats leaving from New York City. The huge Norvegian Dawn in background. Ours was small enough to dock at all three Bermuda ports.

Welcome to Florida
I know that I posted this photo a few days ago - by mistake. When I wanted to relocate the photo and delete it at the old spot, Bland Allison (in finances? in politics? in law?) had already posted a comment.
The plate sized sucker feet and giant goggle eyes probably belong to a Cuban tree frog, a voracious carnivore. I hope that the spotted feeding machine enjoys love bugs.

Time to Leave
Too bad that the photos do not show a person in the pit for comparison.
This used to be a great yard with a five bedroom colonial.
The new McMansion is said to have a swimming pool in the basement and 9 foot ceilings down there.
It looks like it is also going to have turrets on the corners.
William used to live here and his father wanted to establish native ground orchids in his woods. Farewell! See you in Florida.
