The best tour we took on this cruise led into the mountains of St. Kitts.
The first stop was in the yard of a former sugar mill plantation home.
The house was built in the 1700's on a stone foundation.

Next door, on a former sugar field, the government built homes for the poor "to give them a leg up." They probably all reelected Liburd.
A second plantation home is still used as a private residence.
